This new model features a fully automated manufacturing process to reduce unit cost and increase reliability. This is done by replacing a standard PCB design with an overmolded contact design allowing for automated placement. Flexible Printed Circuit Mobile Speaker
Challenge Electronics’ latest offering of mobile speakers incorporates a unique, cutting-edge design not seen elsewhere in mobile speakers. By mounting a flexible printed circuit (FPC) around the diaphragm and not requiring internal electrical routing, space is freed for a larger internal chamber. The design also allows for greater diaphragm vibration range for a lower resonant frequency while also placing less stress on the solder joints for added reliability. The FPC speaker has a lower resonant frequency, higher reliability all without increasing overall footprint.
