Challenge Releases Battery Snap Line With Improved Strain ReliefDeer Park, NY – Challenge Electronics has introduced a new line of 9V battery snaps for use in portable electronic devices. The BS-Crimping (BS-IC/EC/TC) style devices feature a fully insulated PVC cover and brass nickel-plated contacts with six- or four-prong terminals. Added strain relief is assured through a patented "rivet jointing " process that connects the conductive rivet (PVC cover) with the cylindrical plug socket and electronic wire. Factory pull tests: 8 lbs for 10 seconds. Electrical wires are UL1007, AWG 26, 150mm black and red (standard) standard, Stripped and tinned: 5mm +/- 1mm. Different wire lengths are available. The new battery snaps are part of a much broader selection of high-performance components available through Challenge.
